  • 1 c. cake flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk

    Measure flour and add baking powder and salt.

    Sift.

    Beat eggs hard and sift in sugar gradually.

    Heat milk and add butter; stir into eggs.

    Add flour mixture and flavoring.

    Beat well. Bake in an ungreased tube pan for 30 or 40 minutes at 375°.

    Allow to stand 1 hour.

    Serve plain or frost.
