Brussels Sprouts With Onion

- 1 pt. Brussels sprouts (about 3/4 lb.)
- salt to taste
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- freshly ground pepper to taste
Directions

1Pull off any tough outer leaves of the sprouts.

2Using a paring knife, make a couple of crossed gashes in the base of each sprout. Put sprouts in a saucepan and add water to cover and salt.

3Bring to a boil and cook 10 to 12 minutes, or until tender.

4Drain well. Heat butter in a saucepan; add onion, cumin, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until onion is wilted.

5Add sprouts and stir until sprouts are coated with butter and are hot.

6Makes 4 servings.
