- 1 whole Butternut Squash
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup

11. Preheat oven to 400°F.

22. Rinse squash and slice in half lengthwise. Scrape out seeds from the inside of both halves using a spoon.

33. Place squash (cut side down) in a 9x13 baking dish. Add 1/2 inch of water into the dish and bake for 40 minutes. Then turn over the squash and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

44. Pour out any hot water remaining in baking dish and be cautious handling the hot squash. Using a dry dish towel to hold the squash steady, scoop squash out of skin and place in a large bowl.

55. Add remaining ingredients and carefully smoosh and mix everything with a masher to desired texture.
