  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. liquid smoke

    Hard-boil eggs; peel.

    Run a thin skewer through eggs from top to bottom and side to side.

    Heat water and remaining ingredients to a boil.

    Put eggs in a jar.

    Pour boiling liquid over eggs. Cover.

    When cool, refrigerate 24 hours.

    Shake and refrigerate at least 6 hours more.
