Smoked Pulled Pork Butt

  • 6 lb boston butt pork roast
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp chipotle powder
  • 3 handfuls Apple Wood Chips

    Mix all ingredients together except wood chips

    Rub pork butt with the dry ingredients and marinate for at least 3 hours

    Meanwhile soak the wood chips for at least 30 minutes
  4. 4
    Drain wood chips and reserve the water then place chips in a foil loaf pan, placing the pan in between the coals and meat

    Place pork butt on grill over indirect heat when coals ash over and temp is 250-300F

    Slow cook for 6 hours and keep checking and turn butt over every 2 hours also throw some chips on the fire for better smoke flavor
