- 2 lb. venison cubes
- fat for browning
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. grated Cheddar cheese
- flour for dredging
- 2 medium onions, quartered
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Remove any visible fat from meat.

2Cut into 1-inch cubes. Dredge cubes in flour and brown in hot fat.

3Add onions and brown lightly.

4Thin the sour cream by adding the water slowly, stirring until smooth cream is formed.

5Add cheese, salt and pepper.

6Cover the browned meat cubes with sour cream mixture.

7Simmer until tender, about 2 hours.

8Add more water, if necessary.

9Serve on rice or noodles.
