- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. crispy rice cereal (of some kind)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2In large bowl, combine butter and shortening.

3Beat in sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.

4Stir in flour, baking soda and salt.

5Stir in cereal; mix well.

6Drop by level tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet 2-inches apart. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

7Let cool at least 1 minute before removing from baking sheet.

8Makes 6 dozen cookies.
