  • 14 cup sugar
  • 14 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water

    In a mixing bowl, beat the oil and sugars.

    Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt; stir into molasses mixture alternately with water.

    Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full.

    Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
