- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 pkg. caramels
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/3 c. milk
- 3/4 c. chocolate bits
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix cake mix according to directions.

2Pour half of batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased cake pan.

3Bake 20 minutes at 350°. Melt caramels with margarine and milk.

4Pour over the baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate bits and chopped nuts.

5Dot the remaining cake mix on top.

6Bake 20 minutes at 250° and 10 minutes at 350°. This needs no topping.
