  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, unbeaten
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon

    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.

    Add shortening and sugar; beat at low speed.

    Batter should be dough-like; chill in refrigerator.
