- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Blend flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; set aside.

3Cream together shortening, margarine, sugar and eggs.

4Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture.

5Combine sugar and cinnamon in shallow dish.

6Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon.

7Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

8Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

9These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.
