Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • cinnamon and sugar

Directions

    Cream butter, eggs and sugar.

    Sift in flour, soda and tartar. Mix well.

    Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

    Roll into balls.

    Roll balls in cinnamon and sugar mixture.

    These will flatten as they bake, so space well on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°.

    Cool on wire rack.

    Makes 2 dozen large cookies.
