  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill dough. Form into small balls. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown, but soft.
