Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.

    Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.

    Roll into balls and then into mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

    Bake until brown but soft at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.

    Yields 5 dozen.
