- 50 grams Butter
- 45 grams Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 80 grams Cake flour
- 15 grams Cocoa (Van Houten pure cocoa)
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1 Vanilla extract (optional)
Directions

1Mix the room temperature butter and sugar together with a whisk.

2It will have a cream-like consistency.

3Add the beaten egg in three batches and mix well.

4Add milk.

5If you are adding vanilla extract, do so here.

6Combine and sift the ingredients marked .

7Add to the bowl from Step 2.

8Mix well with a rubber spatula and pour the batter into muffin cups.

9Smooth out the surface with a spoon.

10Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180C.

11When a skewer poked through the middle comes out clean, they're done.
