- 3 c. butter
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 8 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together.

2Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.

3Sift together flour, cream of tartar and soda. Add to creamed mixture and blend well.

4Refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, then roll into 6 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon.

5Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.

6Preheat oven to 350°.

7Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

8Balls will flatten.

9Makes about 18 dozen.
