Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

    Grease a cookie sheet.

    Stir together flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.

    Beat margarine for 30 seconds; add 2 cups sugar and beat until fluffy.

    Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture; beat until well blended. Form dough into 1-inch balls.

    Roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

    Place balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheets; flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass.

    Bake at 375° for 8 minutes or until lightly brown.
