  • 1 cup soft shortening
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 34 cups sifted gold medal flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for coating
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, coating for coating

    Mix the shortening, sugar and eggs together thoroughly.

    Preheat oven to 350F

    Sift the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together and stir in shortening mixture.

    Chill dough.

    Mix together 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl,.

    Roll dough into small balls the size of a small walnut.
