Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream the butter, shortening, sugar and eggs.

    Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

    Add to the other ingredients.

    Mix well. Roll into balls the size of walnuts.

    Roll balls into sugar and cinnamon.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
