Directions

   Beat egg whites until almost stiff.

   Add sugar very slowly, beating until very stiff peaks are formed.

   Carefully fold in ground nuts, then chocolate chips.

   Drop by teaspoon onto slightly greased cookie sheet.

   Put into a 350° oven.

   Turn heat off at once.

   Do not open oven door for at least 4 hours; better still, next morning.

   Makes about 40 cookies.
