- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Heat molasses and water almost to boiling.

2Set off heat and add butter.

3Combine sugar, flour, salt, soda and ginger.

4Stir into warm molasses and butter mixture.

5Chill.

6Roll on floured board 1/4 inch thick.

7Cut into desired shapes.

8Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350° about 8 minutes.

9Do not overbake.
