- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. each: ginger, cinnamon and cloves
- 2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. boiling water
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 2 well beaten eggs
Directions

1Mix the first 4 ingredients together and add soda and flour. Then add eggs.

2Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350° for 30 minutes or until springs back like a cake.
