- 1 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1In a medium bowl, mix molasses with soda until it foams.

2Beat in egg and butter. Add water.

3Mix ginger with flour and add to mixture.

4Mix well.

5Put in greased 9 x 11-inch shallow pan.

6Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.

7Cut in 12 squares.
