- 2 loaves frozen whole wheat bread dough, thawed
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp. water
- coarse salt (if you wish)
Directions

1Thaw bread in refrigerator overnight.

2Roll dough into 24 (1 1/2-inch) balls (12 balls from each loaf of bread).

3Roll each ball into a rope, 14 inches long.

4Shape each rope into a pretzel by forming a knot and looping the ends through.

5Place pretzels 1 inch apart on a well-greased cookie sheet.

6Let stand for 20 minutes.

7Combine egg white and water; brush on pretzels. Sprinkle with salt if you wish.

8Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
