  • 1 1/2 c. warm beer or water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 beaten egg
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm beer.

    Add flour and mix; knead for 10 minutes.

    Let rise, covered, in warm place for 1 hour until doubled.

    Shape and place on greased cookie sheet.

    Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle on coarse salt.

    Bake at 475° until brown, approximately 12 minutes.
