- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast, sugar and salt in water.

2Blend in flour. Place on floured board and knead for 10 minutes.

3Pinch off small strips.

4Roll into 12 ropes.

5Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg, then sprinkle with coarse salt.

6Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
