- 1 (2 oz.) pkg. yeast (cake)
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Add salt and sugar.

4Line cookie sheet with foil (shiny side up).

5Blend in flour.

6Sprinkle flour on counter and knead dough.

7Cut into small pieces and roll into an 18-inch rope.

8Shape into pretzels and place on cookie sheet.

9Brush with egg and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
