- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- coarse salt to taste
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in bowl.

2Add flour, sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt; mix well.

3Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic.

4Shape into pretzels on baking sheet.

5Brush with egg.

6Sprinkle with coarse salt.

7Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until brown.
