  • 3 c. cold baked beans
  • 6 c. water
  • 2 slices onion
  • 2 stalks celery with leaves
  • 1 1/2 c. canned stewed tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    Put beans, onion and celery in the water.

    Boil 30 minutes. Blend in food processor.

    Puree tomatoes and add to soup.

    Stir in chili sauce and seasonings.

    Melt butter.

    Add flour and cook 2 minutes.

    Stir into the soup over medium heat until soup thickens.
