Sour Cream Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 c. diced apples
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. butter

Directions

    Sift together the flour, salt and sugar.

    Add the egg, sour cream, vanilla and nutmeg.

    Beat into a smooth thin batter.

    Blend in the apples and pour into the unbaked pie crust.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Remove from oven and sprinkle with topping made of brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter.

    Place oven temperature back at 400° and brown for about 10 minutes.
