Sour Cream Pecans

  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 4 c. pecan halves (toasted)

Directions

    Combine sour cream and sugar.

    Cook over medium-low heat to almost hard boil at 242°.

    Turn off flame or heat.

    Add vanilla, butter and soda.
  5. 5
    Beat for 1 or 2 minutes.

    Add pecans, stirring to coat.

    Turn onto lightly buttered baking sheet.

    Cool and separate pecan halves.
  9. 9
    Makes 4 cups.
