- 2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- dash of salt
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Dissolve dry yeast in hot water.

2Mix all dry ingredients and add shortening, yeast and butter milk.

3Knead.

4Let sit 2-3 hours to rise.

5Roll out desired amount of dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Fold over and cut with cutter.

6Bake at 450° about 10 minutes, until just begining to brown.

7Remainder of dough may be refrigerated and will keep approximately 2 weeks.
