  • 3/4 c. salt
  • 1 c. sugar

    Heat all 3 together; do not boil.

    Heat until it begins to form bubbles and scum.

    Do not pack cucumbers in sterile jars tight.

    Pour over cucumbers in jars; do not seal.

    Put old lids on jars.

    Reheat next day; do not seal.

    Reheat the third day; seal. Remember do not boil.

    Makes about 11 quarts.
