- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. Sourdough Starter
- 1 Tbsp. soft lard
Directions

1Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Rub in the butter, then add the Sourdough Starter and mix.

2Turn dough onto a lightly floured board; knead lightly until satiny. Roll dough 1/2-inch thick, then cut with a floured cutter.

3Place biscuits on a well-greased pan; brush tops with soft lard.

4Let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

5Bake in a moderate oven (350°) until brown.
