- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. sourdough starter (to follow)
- melted butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. butter
Directions

1Combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar together in a bowl.

2Cut in butter until mixture looks like cornmeal.

3Add buttermilk and sourdough starter.

4Add flour until forms a soft dough.

5Turn dough onto floured board and knead gently, about 1 minute.

6Roll out into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter.

7Let rise in a warm place for 1/2 hour. Bake at 425° for 12 minutes or until brown.

8Brush with butter before baking.
