  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 6 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. sour milk (add 1 Tbsp. vinegar to 1 c. sweet milk and let stand 1 hour)

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Mix all dry ingredients together.

    Cut in Crisco and add yeast and milk; mix well.

    Let set in refrigerator until needed.

    Drop by spoonful or roll in flour.

    Bake at 450° until brown.
