  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Mix warm water and yeast.

    Set aside.

    Measure flour and sugar; sift together.

    Put buttermilk in large bowl with oil.

    Add other ingredients all at once.

    Store in refrigerator overnight. Work up into biscuits and bake at 375° for 20 minutes until good and brown.

    You can use part and store in refrigerator up to 4 weeks.
