- 1 1/2 c. Sourdough Starter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour (plus enough to make soft dough)
- butter or margarine
Directions

1Combine Sourdough Starter, sugar, salt and egg.

2Add 1 1/2 cups flour; beat until smooth.

3Gradually beat in enough flour to make a soft dough.

4Knead on floured surface until smooth, using only enough flour to prevent sticking.

5Place in buttered bowl; turn once to bring buttered side up.

6Cover; let rise in warm place until double in bulk.

7Punch down and shape into balls.

8Place balls on greased baking sheets.

9Brush with melted butter, cover and let rise.

10Bake 15 minutes at 400°.
