  • 5 c. fresh or frozen fruit (blackberries, cherries, blueberries or peaches)
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • pastry for 9-inch pie
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. oleomargarine
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Place fruit in 9-inch square dish.

    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; mix well and sprinkle over fruit.

    Dot with oleo.

    Place pastry on top of fruit; trim edge and seal.

    Make several slits to allow steam to escape.

    Brush pastry with milk; sprinkle with sugar.

    Bake at 425° for 30 minutes.
