- 4 Eggs
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
- 1 quart Pecans (coarsely chopped)
- 1 pound Dates (pitted and chopped)
Directions

1Sift together flour baking powder and salt.

2In a separate bowl, Beat eggs.

3Add sugar to eggs and beat until light and fluffy.

4Add flour, baking powder, and salt to the eggs and beat well.

5Add vanilla, pecans and dates.

6Mix thoroughly.

7Place into a well greased loaf pan.

8Cook at 300 F degrees for 30 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 250 F degrees and bake for 1-1 1/2 hours longer. Allow to cool slightly before removing.
