- 10 ears corn
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. bacon fat
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Shuck corn.

2Wash and remove silk.

3After cutting the kernels in half with a sharp knife, cut kernels off cob.

4Scrape juice out of corn cob into the bowl of corn.

5Pour bacon fat into a frying pan and heat.

6Add corn, stirring in flour, sugar and water.

7Let simmer at medium heat until kernels are tender.

8Raise heat, stirring at intervals, until brown.

9Scrape brown mixture sticking to pan into kernels.

10Add salt and pepper.

11If necessary, add a little water.

12Mixture should be moist.
