Southern Fried Oysters

  • 1 qt. large oysters, drained
  • cracker meal
  • 3 eggs mixed with 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder

Directions

    Drain oysters.

    Coat them with cracker meal.
  3. 3
    Dip each oyster in egg and water mixture.
  4. 4
    Have another dish of cracker meal mixed with the salt and baking powder.

    Dip oysters in this and fry in deep fat, about 5 minutes or less. (These are light and wonderful.)
