- 1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour tube pan or Bundt pan. Measure butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla into large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.

3Beat 5 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.

4On low speed, mix in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.

5Pour into pan.

6Bake 70 to 80 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

7Cool in pan about 20 minutes.

8Remove from pan.
