- 2 sticks margarine, room temperature
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 eggs, room temperature
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening well.

2Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs and cream until lemony colored.

3Add flour, salt and baking powder, a little at a time.

4Alternate with milk and add vanilla.

5Grease and flour a tube pan thoroughly.

6Place in a cold oven.

7Set oven to 325°.

8Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
