- 2 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Directions

2cornmeal gradually to boiling water and let stand a few minutes.

3Add butter, salt and egg yolks;

4dissolve baking soda in buttermilk

5and add.

6Fold in egg whites. Turn into a buttered casserole. Bake

7in a 375° oven for 40 minutes.
