Ingredients
- 12 to 14 chicken wings, tips cut off
- 2 green onions, fresh, sliced or chopped (use all greens) or 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Kikkoman soy sauce
- ginger, fresh and slivered or garlic (I use both and most of the time use ginger that I have dried)
- 1 Tbsp. sherry or dry vermouth
Directions

1Wash and dry wings.

2Brown ginger root in salad oil.

3Mix other ingredients together, except wings.

4Add slowly to oil. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.

5Add wings.

6Sprinkle very lightly with salt.

7Cover and simmer until done, turning often to coat wings with sauce.

8Takes a little more than one hour.

9Serve with fried rice.
