- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. hot chili powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 12 bay leaves
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can water
- 2 (No. 2) cans tomatoes
- 1 tsp. oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Brown and drain

2ground beef in Dutch oven.

3Saute in 1 teaspoon oil the onion and pepper.

5Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.

6Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours; remove bay leaves.
