  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 8 oz. spaghetti, broken, cooked and drained
  • 1 to 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan

Directions

    In Dutch oven, cook beef, onion and garlic until done.

    Drain in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms and spices. Boil gently, uncovered, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

    Stir in drained spaghetti.

    Put half of the meat sauce in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Sprinkle with Mozzarella and top with Parmesan. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. This dish will freeze.
