- 16 oz. vermicelli or spaghetti
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 well beaten eggs
- 2 c. (16 oz.) low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 2 c. (16 oz.) tomatoes, cut up
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. crushed dried oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions

1Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.

2Stir butter into hot mixture.

3Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs.

4Form spaghetti mixture into a crust.

5In skillet, cook beef, onions and peppers until tender and meat is brown.

6Drain excess fat.

7Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.

8Heat through.

9Put mixture into crust.

10Bake, uncovered, at 350°

11for 20 to 30 minutes until bubbly.

12Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 5 more minutes.
