  • 6 ounces whole wheat spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 13 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 12 lb ground turkey
  • 12 cup chopped onion
  • 14 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can low-sodium stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can low-sodium tomato paste
  • 34 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 12 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

    Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

    Stir oil and Parmesan cheese into hot pasta.

    Add egg, stirring well.

    Spoon mixture into a 10 deep dish pie plate.

    Use a spoon to shape the spaghetti into a pie shell.

    Microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes or until set; set aside.

    In Skillet, saute onion for 5 minutes till tender, add ground turkey and cook till done.

    Drain fat, return to skillet or in a large bowl, add tomatoes, paste, spices.

    Spread ricotta evenly over pie shell.
